Minicom Remote Power Switch

The Minicom Remote Power Switch allows remote power management of your data centre over the internet. The switch is ideal for powering and rebooting servers and other devices in data centres and server farms. The two-in-one Remote Power Switch also performs environmental monitoring of the server room.

The Remote Power Switch is part of a comprehensive remote management solution for the modern data centre. It adds to your existing remote access capabilities, saving you the time and cost of visiting geograpically remote sites. The 0SU52063 gives you the necessary functionality to complete remote operations that require you to reboot the server, complementing out-of-band remote access to servers and devices from your KVM switching systems.

The environmentally aware power switch monitors temperature and humidity to protect your rack or server room from extreme, and possibly damaging, conditions. Temperature and humidity triggers can be configured to send administrative alerts or to perform a power operation under specified conditions. For example, you can configure the remote power switch to regulate the temperature in the room if it exceeds a specified trigger.
